Disneyland Trip Report

This is the official report for my weekend trip to Disneyland in Anaheim. It began when I left my house in La Mesa early on Saturday morning. We went up Interstate 5 to Anaheim in Orange County. We parked in the parking structure for the Paradise Pier Hotel. We stored our bags in the hotel before it was time to check in at 3:00 PM. We then walked through the Downtown Disney shopping district on the way to the original Disneyland Park. Once we entered the park, I went to go see a Frozen window display on Main Street. It featured alternating scenes with Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Sven, and Olaf. We then went on Star Tours for our first ride. We rode Space Mountain after that. Space Mountain was my favorite ride at the original Disneyland. We then rode the Storybook Land Canal Boats. That ride featured miniature replicas of the settings of various Disney films. The boat carried us by them. One display of note was the display of Arendelle from Frozen. "Let It Go" was playing in the background as we passed that display. We went on It's a Small World next. I liked how that ride paid tribute to various films and where they took place. We finished Fantasyland with the Matterhorn Bobsleds and a walk inside the Sleeping Beauty Castle. It was then time for lunch. We ate Mexican food at Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante. We then stepped on the stationary Mark Twain Riverboat. We rode the Haunted Mansion after that. It was then time to check into the hotel. We checked in and rested for about two hours. The hotel is a nice 15 floor building. We stayed on the 14th floor. We later went back into the park to see Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. I really liked this historical presentation since I am a history major. It made me wish for an animated Disney movie about the American Civil War. I then ate dinner at Pizza Port. I wish it was called Pizza Planet like the restaurant in Toy Story. I then went to go watch the Main Street Electrical Parade. We saw the fireworks after that. We then went to the hotel to sleep for the night. I woke up today and had breakfast in the hotel. I went to Disney California Adventure today. We took the same route to get to the entrance. The first order of business at California Adventure was to meet Queen Elsa and Princess Anna. I waited in line to take a picture and talk with them. I talked to them briefly about the United States and Arendelle. We went to ride California Screamin' after that. That was my favorite ride in the whole resort. It went fast and made many turns. We then went to go see the Frozen stage production at the Hyperion Theatre. This play was in the style of Broadway. It was very well made and it captured the story well. It was then time for lunch. We ate more Mexican food at Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill. We then finished the day with Mickey's Fun Wheel and Goofy's Sky School. We went home after exploring the whole park. I really enjoyed the resort and I hope to go back again. It is a report of everything I did at the Disneyland Resort. I figured that you and some other forum members would like to read it. This gives you a good idea of Disneyland in case you ever want to go there.

You will probably want to go there now with all the Frozen stuff they have. I think that you will really enjoy the stage production. This is my favorite part:

I suppose it's good, but Anna's accent is different from the accent in the move... more critiques here...They add different things from the movie, and it's that the can annoy me a little...but, for a play, it's good

Would you like to meet Elsa and Anna in person at Disneyland? That was another highlight of the trip.

Elsa and Anna do not exist in real life. The people portraying them at Disney Parks are employees that are good at performing. They really capture the nature of their characters. That is Disney quality.
